In June 2024, a PhD student at the Indian Institute of Technology published a paper [Naman Kumar24]. From the perspective of quantum theory, the most natural way for the universe to be created is the existence of pairs of opposites in time flow, which implies the creation of a universe, anti-universe pair. He used this as a hypothesis to explain the expansion of the universe, which he thought was actually accelerating. Other researchers (Boyle et al) have also argued that “the universe does not spontaneously violate CPT symmetry (Charge, Parity, Time), but rather the Big Bang The post-Big Bang universe is a CPT image of the pre-Big Bang universe and shows a pair of anti-cosmos”. This suggests the possibility of revising cosmology conceptually.

Our Institute has been working with the University of Tokyo as one of its “Social Contribution Projects” (for details, see Social Contribution Project and Peter Drucker) and as an initiative based on the Social Collaboration with the University of Tokyo for the realization of anticipatory governance. Takeo Harada, Founder and CEO of the Institute, has been involved in joint research with the University of Tokyo since 2022. As of 2024, our Institute is supporting the following two experiments.

① “Quantum Fluctuation Verification Experiment Using Optical Quanta for Demonstration of the Anti-Universe model.”

-The purpose is to observe the quantum fluctuations of optical quanta and verify the control method to demonstrate the material transfer due to quantum fluctuations in the anti-universe model.

② “Demonstration experiment of language generation based on body intelligence by artificial ego”
-The purpose we aim to show that the intelligence based on languages constructed by linking robot control with language models such as ChatGPT based on artificial egos that apply emotion maps.

If you are a member of our membership service “Takeo Harada Gemeinschaft”, you may have heard about the above joint research. In this blog, I would like to explain as clearly as possible the contents of ①“Quantum fluctuation verification experiment using light quanta to demonstrate the anti-universe model.

First of all, there is a piece of equipment for which our institute provided financial support. This is the “femtosecond laser generator,” which is the experimental apparatus. The photo below shows the actual emission of the laser. You can see that the black device on the right emits blue-violet light, which is refracted through a lens, and that the blue-violet laser finally hits the left edge of the two white plates in the center of the photo.

Currently, the following three points of research are in progress.
①Laser beam processing: Narrowing down the laser beam diameter to less than 1 mm using lenses
②Increasing the output of the second harmonic wave: Increasing the output of the second harmonic wave up to 10 times by using a narrowed laser beam
③Optical path construction to obtain spontaneous parametric downward conversion using nonlinear crystals and its measurement.

The next phase will be the implementation of a laser detector to observe changes in photon counts correlated with laser output.

The co-researcher said, “We assume that there is a universe and a corresponding ‘Anti-Universe,’ and that both are the ‘Whole Universe’”. The above statement is linked to that of the doctoral student at the Indian Institute of Technology and other researchers mentioned before.

I asked a simple question to one of the co-researchers.
“Is there any possibility that all the information in the universe could be gathered at one point?”
The answer was as follows.
“A black hole is generally considered to be a “vanishing point of information,” but it can also be seen as a focal point where all information gathers.”

He continued,
“A black hole is a field that sucks in everything in one direction, but when that information is emitted from a “white hole,” the space where it is emitted is called the “Anti-Universe”. In the anti-universe it changes as follows. Matter → anti-matter, anti-matter → matter, gravity → anti-gravity, dark energy → anti-dark energy, and time direction is reversed when viewed in the anti-universe (it appears to flow from the future to the past). Therefore, if we consider that “the whole universe = the present universe + the anti-universe,” there is no loss of information in the whole universe, and the information of matter swallowed by a black hole is only transferred to the anti-universe through a white hole. In the anti-universe model, the beginning of the universe is the end of the anti-universe, and the end of the universe is the beginning of the anti-universe, so the “universe” is considered to be in a cycle.

I was not able to catch up all the details, but I can grasp the gist of what he was trying to tell me. How about you?

To return to the subject, “anti-matter” was theoretically predicted by the British physicist Paul Dirac in 1928, and later experiments have confirmed that it actually exists. “Anti-matter” is an entity that is a mirror image of matter. It may look exactly like matter, but the + and – electric charges are reversed. The atoms that form matter have +charged nuclei surrounded by -charged electrons flying around them. In “anti-matter,” however, positrons with a + charge fly around a nucleus with a – charge.

In this way, matter and anti-matter have opposite electrical properties, and are otherwise identical to each other as if it’s mirrored. In addition, anti-matter has the characteristic of “pair production,” in which antimatter is always produced in pairs with matter, and “pair annihilation,” in which both disappear when matter and antimatter meet. Counter-annihilation means that the mass of matter and antimatter has been converted into energy.

It is believed that 13.8 billion years ago, the universe was created by the Big Bang, an explosive expansion of enormous energy, which produced an equal amount of “matter” and “anti-matter” through pair production. Later, when the universe cooled down, all matter and anti-matter should have been annihilated, but “matter,” including us human beings, exists here. In order to solve this mystery, research on neutrinos, which are special elementary particles without electric charge, and research on hydrogen and antihydrogen, which is being conducted at the anti-matter research facility of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) located in Switzerland, are being promoted in many countries. Based on the same principle, the University of Tokyo’s Social Cooperative Research Program, in which our institute is involved, is experimentally proving the existence of an “anti-universe” corresponding to the present universe, and is conducting experiments to actually capture the transfer of matter between the present universe and the anti-universe.

The image of the “anti-universe” is a universe that exists in the opposite direction from our own universe, as if mirrored by the Big Bang as a boundary. Curiously, in the “anti-universe,” the time axis, gravity, etc. are also opposite. However, what is different from the above figure in the joint research is that there is no left-right infinity point as seen in the figure, and a “phase transition” occurs in the vicinity of the point, resulting in a transition from a black hole to a white hole. In addition to black holes and white holes, the “early universe (Big Bang)” and the “end of the universe (Big Crunch)” would be applicable like as gates to such an anti-universe.

Based on the above, the new implications of the “anti-universe model” in the joint research are as follows,
①If we consider that “the whole universe = the present universe + the anti-universe,” the information of the whole universe will not be lost.
 -Information on matter swallowed by a black hole will be transferred to the anti-cosmos through a white hole.
②If the general theory of relativity is valid for the whole universe including the anti-universe, it is consistent with the fact that white holes exist in the whole universe and have not been observed so far.
③In the anti-universe model, the beginning of the universe is the end of the anti-universe, and the end of the universe is the beginning of the anti-universe.

In this blog, I have tried to write from a slightly different perspective than usual, from a scientific viewpoint. I hope that this blog will help you to get a concrete image of this “social contribution project” rather than just a “grand research” project.
