— Engaging in International Dialogue on AI-enabled Governance and Geopolitical Transformation —

From May 21–23, 2026, Takeo Harada, Founder and CEO of the Institute for International Strategy and Information Analysis, Inc. (IISIA), participated by invitation in the “GLOBSEC Forum 2026” held in Prague, Czechia.

GLOBSEC is widely recognized as one of Europe’s leading international forums on geopolitics, security, strategic affairs, and global transformation, bringing together heads of state, government officials, diplomats, researchers, business leaders, and international policy communities.

This year’s Forum was held under the theme:

“The Global Systemic Transformation:
21st-Century Solutions to 21st-Century Challenges.”

The Forum featured extensive discussions concerning AI, geopolitical transformation, security architecture, economic systems, energy resilience, institutional redesign, and the future of international cooperation.

During the Forum, Mr. Harada exchanged views with international policy stakeholders, particularly from Europe, while introducing ongoing research and international dialogue initiatives surrounding:

“AI-enabled governance” —
a framework exploring how governance capacity itself may evolve in the age of AI and systemic transformation.

IISIA and its affiliated organization, the Research Institute for Japan’s Globalization (RIJAG), are currently advancing research and practical initiatives concerning governance, policymaking, and institutional design in the AI era, including engagement with UN-related processes and international organizations.

Current activities include collaborative research with the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, contributions to the United Nations University (UNU) AI series, and participation in international AI governance dialogues.

Under the vision of Pax Japonica, IISIA and RIJAG will continue actively contributing Japanese intellectual perspectives to international discussions surrounding AI, geopolitics, and the transformation of global governance while promoting the realization of a peaceful and sustainable international order.
